Jaras - A week after 90 Lebanese journalists and intellectuals wrote a letter in support of the green movement of Iran, a group of Iranians living in Lebanon showed their solidarity with the Lebanese by participating in their major demonstration for freedom and independence.
In the demonstration, which also marked the anniversary of the assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri, a statement written by the Iranians to the Lebanese was circulated and garnered media attention. There was also a round table discussion organized by students of Beirut-American University prior to the demonstration that discussed the demands of the Green Movement.
