Foreign reporters escorted around with very limited freedom

Reuters Press - A large number of participants in the anniversary of the revolution increase the expectation of a massive protest. According to reporters, there are a lot of anti-riot forces everywhere. Police traps are being placed in the main squares, and police helicopters are flying over the city.

An anonymous security commander has said to Fars News that in case of any riots or public disorder, the police will arrest the participants and keep them until the 9th of April.

Foreign reporters are being led to Azadi Square by government forces, and their freedom to cover the opposition protest is extremely limited.

Laleh, a 67 year old mother said: “If we all stay at home, our youth will be left alone on 22 Bahman. We must help them. I have nothing to lose…”

French Press wrote: Hundreds of thousands of Iranians participated on 22 Bahman under very intense security checks.

According to the opposition, a massive crowd of protesters are in the streets, but government TV channels only select the picture of men and women carrying signs of “Death to America and Israel” marching on Azadi Street in southwest Tehran.

Street Journalists wrote: Government forces opened their fire on protesters on Aria Shahr Street. Protesters chanted “Khamenei is a murderer and following him is wrong.” According to reports, a very big crowd is gathered at Aria Shar and police shoot at them.
