Committee of Human Rights Reporters - After more than 50 days of detention for Abolfazl Ghasemi, the graduate from Allameh University remains imprisoned in ward 209 of Evin prison.
Ghasemi was arrested on Ashura (December 27, 2009). More than 50 days after Ashura, the names and exact numbers of detainees has not been declared.
Sardar Radan, the the chief of police [for greater Tehran] announced that 300 people were arrested on Ashura, while estimates by reporters indicate the number is approximately 1000.
