Two principals fired for refusal to collaborate with Ministry of Education

If a government is supported by tens of millions of people [as Ahmadinejad's government claims to be], will it be so agitated and worried by several students’ chanting slogans that it will dismiss the principals of the schools they were attending?

Based on Neday-e Sabz Azadi’s report, Miss Lavasani, the principal of Khajen Ansari High School located in Khajeh Ansari Street, and Mr. Mazloom, the principal of Ahadzadeh High School located in Narmak have been both fired.

Their crime: Refusal to provide The Ministry of Education’s Security Office with the names of the students who have protested and chanted slogans against the coup d’etat government. These principals opposed any security and aggressive measures against the students. They consider such moves contravening to Islamic and educational principles, and therefore have refused to cooperate with the coup d’etat government.

Three of the principals in this school zone have been so far dismissed for refusal to give out the names of student protesters.

Students and teachers of these schools are saying that it is no surprise to see how some officials are terrified by a few students’ expressing their views and chanting slogans. These officials misleadingly declare participation of people in the rally commemorating anniversary of the revolution as a sign of support for the coup d’etat government, while the participants’ intention was defending Islam, the martyrs, and true values of revolution.
