Six years imprisonment for Mousavi’s campaign official


Seyed Hassan Ahmadian, Mousavi’s campaign official sentenced to Six years in prison.

Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA): One of the officials who worked for Mir Hossein Mousavi’s election campaign has been sentenced to six years in prison by Tehran’s Revolutionary Court.

Seyed Hassan Ahmadian, a campaign official for Mir Hossein Moussavi, had been recently released from prison [on bail].

His sentence was announced to his lawyer on February 8, 2010. Ahmadian has been sentenced to one year in prison for propagating against the regime, and five years in prison for conspiring to act against national security.

Ahmadian has been banned from any social and political activity. In addition, the permit for the Rahyab, a non-profit cultural institution which he leads has been annulled.

Ahmadian is scheduled to undergo two surgeries for his spine and kidneys.
