Security Forces Search Houses of CHRR Members

Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) - On the morning of March 3, 2010, a number of security forces entered the houses of Hesam Misaghi and Sepehr Atefi in Isfahan. The forces presented arrest warrants at the houses of the two human rights activists, but the forces were unsuccessful in their pursuit.

During the security forces’ presence at the houses, the personal belongings of Hesam Misaghi and Sepehr Atefi were confiscated, including personal computers, CDs, documents, and books.

Hesam Misaghi and Sepehr Atefi are both members of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters and founding members of the Population of Combat against Educational Discrimination.

The two civil activists have also been banned from continuing their university education for their belief in the Baha’i faith.

Additionally, security forces arrested CHRR member Navid Khanjani in Isfahan on the night of March 2, 2010. Currently there are seven CHRR members who are detained by security forces.
