RAHANA – According to lawyer Mohammad Sharif’s statement to ILNA, detained journalist Badrosadat Mofidi has been moved to the general ward in Evin and has not been interrogated since her transfer, which is a sign that her preliminary investigations have ended. No decision has been made to change Mofidi’s detention order to a release on bail but Mohammad Sharf hopes that Mofidi could be released on bail pending trial.

Sharif requested a meeting today with the provincial head of the justice department to discuss the cases of Masoud Bastani and Ahmad Zeidabadi, but the meeting was not made possible. Sharif plans to request that Zeidabadi be transferred from his current ward, where the majority of prisoners are murder convicts, to another ward more commensurate with his alleged crime.
