Reformist Emad Bahavar Arrested


Emad Bahavar, political activist and member of the youth division of Nehzat Azadi (Freedom Movement), was arrested for the second time since the election in June 2009.

According to Kaleme, he was in the court to defend himself when he was arrested on the morning of March 7, 2010. In the days following the election, he was arrested and held in prison for two months. Emad who is a graduate student in political sciences was unable to continue his studies. He will also be banned from school after his release from prison.
