Navid Khanjani’s Phone Call from Evin Prison


Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) – After a phone call made on Thursday March 4, 2010, CHRR member Navid Khanjani confirmed his detention in Evin prison.

The human rights activist was arrested after security forces raided his house on March 2, 2010 at 11:00 p.m. He was then transferred from Isfahan to Tehran’s Evin prison.

Navid Khanjani is a member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters and one of the founders of the Population of Combat against Educational Discrimination. He was banned from university for his belief in the Baha’i faith. During recent years he has played a significant role [raising awareness] on discrimination in education.
