HRANA - Former student activist Hojat Montazeri was arrested at night on March 4, 2010 after security agents invaded his house in Karaj without presenting an arrest warrant.
According to Bamdad News, right before Hojat Montazeri was arrested, his home was completely searched by agents and several of his and his wife’s personal belongings were confiscated.
The charges against Montazeri are not known, neither is the location where he is being held. His wife and other family members have visited the prosecutors office in Karaj on repeated occasions to receive answers, but no information has been given to them.
It is important to note that Hojat Montazeri has no recent record of activities related to political activism.
